School Mural featuring Pupils' Artwork

The tiled mural was part of an installation at Newcastle under Lyme Junior School in 2012. The design brief was a theme entitled: "Wall of Challenges" to reflect the personal aspirations of each child within the school, from the Reception Class through to Year 6. Each child was given a 6 inch square tile to design. The hand-drawn designs were then scanned and the pictures created into digital ceramic transfers which were then applied onto each individual tile. This inspiring mural is composed of 265 tiles, equalling the number of children who were involved in this piece of artwork.
