A tiled mural was installed at Newcastle-Under-Lyme Junior School during the half term holiday in October 2012.
The design brief was entitled “Wall of Challenges” where each child in the School was given a 6 inch square tile to design, which reflected their own personal aspirations.
The hand-drawn designs were then scanned and digital ceramic transfers created. These were then applied onto individual tiles. Fully constructed, this colourful and inspiring mural is made up of 265 tiles -the number of children who were involved in the project.
